EFFECTIVE PUBLIC COMMUNICATION (FCOM 0102)

The Intended Learning Outcome (ILO) of the individual essay is allow us to understand the basic ideas of topic given and produced a well-developed and well-organized essay related to the concept learnt in Effective Public Communication module. Also, allowed us to improve our understanding towards the importance of theories taught in Effective Public Communication module to our future in communication skills. The topic I chose is the second question: Identify and explain four of the six ways in which nonverbal communication works in conjunction with verbal communication. First of all, I had to read the chapter related in the textbook. Then, I had to find out the reference books in the library. For this assignment, I have to be patient to find the accurate information in order to complete it.

For this assignment, it was the toughest essay for me complete it as it has took me about a week to find out the accurate informations through the reference books in library and the Effective Public Communication text book. In the process of writing this essay, I had faced the confuse to define the real meaning of six ways in which nonverbal communication works in conjunction with verbal communication since I found there was two topics related with this title and there was no one can help me to find out that as everyone was busy with their own assignment. I was feeling helpless and almost give up finding the references. However, after a day of rest without touching the assignment, I had successfully found the real meaning through a reference book and all my hopes were coming back to continue the essay. I was really happy that I can find the ideas and concepts related to the topic given after a rest, make me continued another steps after found the results.
From this assignment, I learnt the important of nonverbal communication works in conjunction with verbal communication in our daily life where this skills can be apply in our future jobs and communicate with the social community. Also, I have learnt not to give up easily to find out the actual information but still have to take a rest if we faced problem so that we can plan the next step to complete the task or find an alternative way to solve the problem.
