TAN ZI CIN'S E-PORTFOLIO
For the assignment 1 of Mathematics, we were asked to formed a group of five and given a series of 2 mathematical question to solve based on the figure given from the paper. This hands-on exercise is aimed for student to evaluate the understanding level of students towards basic algebra, trigonnometry, area and volume.

From the assignment 1, I have learnt on how to investigate the figure on a paper and tried to calculate the area of an object based on the calculation according to different formula. For example, the circle measures for the circle surface, the solution of triangles for the angles and the surface area and volumes of each shape. Also, I have learned the important of teamwork and strength of culculation of group members to solve the question and construct the model. Lastly, I want to thank my group members who had worked hard to solve the question and teach me to understand the using of formula for the calculation.
ASSIGNMENT 1 : HAND ON EXERCISE AND MODAL CONSTRUCTION
For this final assignment, we were required to form into group of 6 and do research on the issue which can be compared in two different geographical location. With my group members: Esther Lim, Hong Sang Won, Lim Chong Min, Sharon Chow and Teoh Hui Yu, we chose to study on the expenses on car of residents in both location. For the car users, we had to identified their spending behaviour on car such as petrol expenses per month and car maintenance fees. Also, for the non-car users, we had to identified their expenses on other transportations. We had to organize the survey in statistical data and analyse them. This assignment divided into two parts: an A3 sized infographic and survey report. The aim of the assignment was to help students to understand more about statistics and produce a report according to the data collected.

From the final assignment, I have learnt on the knowledge to set the questionaire based on the understanding to the topic chosen. I also how to coordinate with my group members and split our work. Since there were 4 of our group members including me in charged on the survey in Melacca, I had gained more self-confidence to ask the strangers in Jonker Street. Even some of the strangers ignored us and rejected by them, I knew that we must not give up easily and continued to find the others who willing to help us for survey. The most important was I had learnt on how to do a statistics based on the survey and be cooperate with my group members to complete the report.
