On the first week of March (1 March-3 March ), my classmates and I from Foundation In Nature And Built Environment (FNBE) were accompanied by the subjects of Element Of Natural And Built Environment (ENBE) lecturers- Puan Norhayati and Mr. Angus,  for a 3 days 2 nights site visit to Janda Baik,Pahang.

On 1st of March 2013, we were gathered around in front of 7- Eleven where the buses will stop by and take us to Janda Baik. We were divided into two groups according to the tutorial groups and then the buses leave the school at around 9 a.m.

After an hour, we have reached our first destination -- Kopi n Kraf and Danau Daun Chalet. My first feeling to Janda Baik was a green surrounding with fresh air and warmly sunshine as Janda Baik was a rural area away from the hustle and bustle of city life. In Danau Daun Chalet which designed by Director of Architect Senireka -- Dato' Ar. Nik Mohammed Mahmood, I found that the chalet was designed in maintain the nature surrounding which is made by woods and the pathway is made by stones. I felt impressed by the creativity of the architect where was shown by the dustbin which made by bamboo and the tree was preserved as it was part of the design of chalet. I wish I can be like that architect where the nature of surroundings were preserved at the same time as the building built.

The next place I visited was Rumah Bonda. The place was a small chalet which made up by bamboo. Tourists who wish to visit there can enjoy the nature of the environment. Besides, there was a stream beside the chalet where tourists can bath at there and feel the cool and freshness water. After visited Rumah Bonda, we were having our lunch -- chicken rice at the restaurant nearby. Then,we have checked in a resort which was Teratak Malaya Resort. The dorm I stayed was called as "Anjung Pak Wan". The room was all in double decker and I had make choice to choose the bed where I will sleep with my friends. After settled the stuffs, me and my friends decided to explore the resort. As the resort's name was called as Teratak Malaya, we found that the design was fulled with traditional Malay architecture surrounded by the green nature. We also amazed by the scenery of the flora and fauna besides of the lake and lush green garden with pond and open space in the resort.

These are the photos took when we visit Danau Daun Chalet and Kopi & Kraf.

After check in the chalet, we had visited a place called Taman Hana Wadi Hussein, the aborigine settlement. It is owned by a famous Malaysian writer, Pak Habib (Syed Hussein Al-Attas), opened in year 1986. Taman Hana Wadi Hussein has been consecutively awarded The Most Beautiful Garden In Malaysia for 3 years from 1998. In that place, I was surprised that the garden was fulled with different species of plants which imported from New Zealand, Australia, Africa and other Asian countries. Besides, it also has different styles of architectures which included the eastern cultural buildings, Asian- Indonesian architectures and westernize houses. The one thing I have learnt and love from the garden was about the design of buildings where they were built from small materials like marble and stones which were very details to built up and place on the wall.
